We are a proud 501c3 organization designed to promote the welfare, growth, and education of children, youth, and parents in the school and community. We want to provide an atmosphere that is an open platform where parents that wish to be involved in their child’s school will have the opportunity to do so.

We bring a closer working relationship between home and school so parents, administrators, and teachers may collaborate in the education of the students. Our desire is to fundraise and promote activities that can provide more opportunities for teachers and students with more tools and resources for a better educational experience.

We have designed committees in the past so that you can pick and choose what areas you’d like to participate in.  Our biggest fundraisers this past school year was the Ipad drawing and Golf Tournament.  The golf tournament was a big success with $6,400 in profit! We hope to continue growing this effort and expanding the drive with more volunteers.

Last year the PTO donated a flat screen TV for the library, library books, and stools for the library.  Also, the PTO is setting aside money to help finance the removal of the old storage lockers and replace them with something more suitable such as tables and benches.  Since all students carry netbook computers and no books, storage lockers are no longer needed.

Please join us to make CCJH school a more attractive and rewarding place to learn.  To receive periodical emails, please list your name, phone & email and visit our website to learn more.

Thank you for supporting the PTO!!

CACTUS CANYON 2nd ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!

COMMITTEES FORMING -

Copy That – Communication is key to getting the word around. We need copy cats to spend a little time in the school copy room and distribute flyers in the cubbies for all faculty and students.  Sometimes it might also involve making posters to hang around the campus too.  This can be a great opportunity to get to know the front office staff.

Concessions – On occasion we like to sell some items or goodies on campus, sometimes at lunch, after school, or maybe at a sporting event.  It will vary throughout the year.  We may sell Snoblast or Jamba Juice after or during school, or something similar.

Dedicated Donations – This can fun and quite rewarding.  Whenever you are out shopping ask the merchant if they would like to make a contribution or donation to our school in the form of gift cards or merchandise.  You’ll be amazed how easy it is once you get the hang of it. We’ll give you a customize letter to use. Or, let your fingers do the walking which is a lot quicker! We are always looking for donations for our main events, PTO meetings, or for random gifts for our staff and students.

Ipad/Ipod Mania! – Yes, it’s really true! Some didn’t believe it last year, so we need to make sure everyone knows we’re serious!  We plan to promote this in the classrooms, maybe an assembly, get a contest going, need ideas here!

Goodness Sake!– Who likes to bake?  It’s nice to have a few goodies around during the PTO meetings and some drinks too.   Maybe something healthy too would be good…well, maybe not.

Carnival of Fun!– Let your imagination go wild.  We’ll need a good size group for the concession stand, raffles, prizes, games, etc.  This will be gearing up at least two months in advance for our crazy carnival in February.

Excuse for Golf– It’s for the kids, honey.  We need sponsorships, prizes, and lots of golfers!  There are lots of fun things to do here to great ready for our biggest event of the year.  We plan to start early on this one for the tournament in March or April.  If you have a good network of golfing buddies or know a thing or two about golf tournaments, please let us know!
